Summary
In this gospel Jesus asks a question, "Who do you say that I am?". He also gives the challenge of denying self, taking up our cross, and following Him. Our faith is challenged but also fortified as we begin to understand that the Messiah must endure suffering and that the Christian will also endure suffering.
