Summary:
In a busy, noisy culture we hear the voice of God say, "listen to him". How do we listen to Christ? How do we hold onto faith instead of just feelings. The Transfiguration is a sign of God's glory but just a small taste to prepare the apostles and us for the truth that the road to glory is through suffering and helps us to endure suffering even the scandal of the Cross. We see the example of the apostles, especially Saint Peter who is disgraced by sin but through the mercy of God and conversion is transfigured by grace. In this packet we also see how the Transfiguration is seen in the elements and structure of the Divine Liturgy, the Mass.
